CANIZARO CAWTHON DAVIS is excited to announce the promotion of Kirk Oldenburg, AIA, to Principal, a testament to his leadership and contributions to innovative design and client satisfaction. With over ten years of experience, Kirk has successfully led numerous projects that align with clients’ visions, creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional. His collaborative spirit and creative insights have enriched the firm’s portfolio while fostering a culture of teamwork and mentorship. Kirk earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Master’s in Architecture from Louisiana State University. He will be serving as the 2025 Secretary/Treasurer of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, where he is committed to enhancing member engagement and promotion of our profession. Originally from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Kirk now resides in Clinton, Mississippi, with his wife Kellis and son Ryder. They are proud new members of Northside Baptist Church, they enjoy visiting their second home in New Orleans, and cherish quality time with family and friends.
We are excited to Introduce Dylan Curtis, our new Architectural Technician! A Brandon, Mississippi native, Dylan recently graduated from Hinds Community College with a Technical Degree in Engineering Drafting & Design, as well as an Associate’s in Applied Science. He also brings with him 9 years of experience. His passion for architecture began in childhood, where he developed an early fascination with the field. Growing up, he was immersed in the world of construction through his family, even designing tree house plans for his father to build. Outside of work, Dylan loves spending time with friends and family, and enjoys playing with his dogs, Woody and Sadie. We’re thrilled to have him join the CCD team and look forward to supporting his growth and development in the industry
Pinelake Starkville recently held a Grand Opening for its new Addition and Renovation. The new auditorium welcomed its members ready to hear God’s word. We are so thrilled to have the doors open to the community.
Hartfield Academy held a grand opening for their New Middle School and Athletics Facility. We are grateful to Hartfield Academy for this wonderful opportunity and to Alliant Construction for their hard work in construction. We hope you enjoy the new spaces and have a fantastic school year!
Meet Khiayah, our new Architectural Designer! Originally from Madison, she recently graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology. Khiayah has had a passion for creating and designing since she was young and aims to create spaces that leave a lasting impression. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, playing with her Yorkie, Pinto Bean, and nurturing her Christian faith. Khiayah is thrilled to join the CCD family and looks forward to learning and growing with us.

CCD is excited to have been selected by the City of Clinton to master plan Kids Towne Park and Traceway Parks. We will be working in association with WAS Design (landscape architect) and look forward to helping shape the future of these parks for Clinton’s residents. Introducing Madison Grayson, our new Interior Design intern at CCD! Madison grew up in Forest, MS and graduated from Forest High School. She recently graduated on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Interior Design and a minor in Floral Management from Mississippi State University. Madison has her goals set on quickly becoming a licensed Interior Designer and create spaces that are functional for users and bring comfort into their everyday life. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, serving in her church, and has a love for animals and all things gardening. Always eager to learn, Madison has already become a part of the family at CCD!

Kirk has successfully managed a variety of religious, corporate and healthcare projects, and enjoys working closely with clients and coworkers. A Florida native, he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master’s of Architecture from Louisiana State University. He and his wife, Kellis, and son Ryder, live in Clinton, MS. He enjoys spending time with his family and in his free time, fishing, camping, traveling, and riding in a New Orleans Mardi Gras krewe.
