Focusing on the whole patient, this design for a stroke Recovery Patient Wing includes a welcoming, warm environment while integrating the latest in required technology. The renovation of the twenty-one-bed patient floor, including therapy gyms, and nurse stations, provided the users with updated technology, code compliant spaces and a state of the art healing facility. Because patients may require therapy for weeks or even months, features include family accommodations at patient rooms, additional infection control precautions for materials and fabrics, soothing color scheme and patterns more typical of hospitality facilities rather than institutional.
