Khiayah Perryman joins CCD Design Firm

Meet Khiayah, our new Architectural Designer! Originally from Madison, she recently graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology. Khiayah has had a passion for creating and designing since she was young and aims to create spaces that leave a lasting impression. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, playing with her Yorkie, Pinto Bean, and nurturing her Christian faith. Khiayah is thrilled to join the CCD family and looks forward to learning and growing with us.

CCD selected for Clinton Park Project

CCD is excited to have been selected by the City of Clinton to master plan Kids Towne Park and Traceway Parks. We will be working in association with WAS Design (landscape architect) and look forward to helping shape the future of these parks for Clinton’s residents. Andy Ladd joins CCD Design Firm

We are pleased to introduce, Andy Ladd, our new Intern Architect at CCD! Andy grew up in Columbus, MS and is looking to graduate from Mississippi State University this upcoming May with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in psychology. He is passionate about uncovering the connection between architectural design practices and the effects they have on the people who use these spaces, and how we can use this knowledge to create beautiful, enriching designs. While at MSU he participated in RUF and enjoyed spending time in multiple organizations around campus to help take up time not spent in the architecture building. He enjoys disc golfing with friends, hiking, watching football, and playing video games. After getting married this summer to his wife, Anna Grace, Andy is excited for the opportunity to be here in Jackson and spend time working at CCD as he finishes up school.

Nathaniel Roesener joins CCD Design Firm

We are pleased to introduce, Nathaniel Roesener, our new Intern Architect at CCD! Nathaniel grew up in Decatur, Alabama and recently graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture from Mississippi State University. While at MSU he served in several campus leadership positions including Alumni Delegates. He was also an integral part of the Teacher and Research Assistantships with the School of Architecture with efforts focused on affordable housing, disaster relief in Central America, and serving as Director of the Design Discovery High School Camp. Nathaniel’s goal is to become a licensed architect and to continue CCD’s long-standing practice of design creativity and excellence. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Ellie, family and friends, watching college football, serving at his church, and anything to do with his dog, Gatsby. Nathaniel, “I am always interested in learning something new!” We are excited to have him part of the CCD family.

Madison Grayson joins CCD Design Firm

Introducing Madison Grayson, our new Interior Design intern at CCD! Madison grew up in Forest, MS and graduated from Forest High School. She recently graduated on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Interior Design and a minor in Floral Management from Mississippi State University. Madison has her goals set on quickly becoming a licensed Interior Designer and create spaces that are functional for users and bring comfort into their everyday life. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, serving in her church, and has a love for animals and all things gardening. Always eager to learn, Madison has already become a part of the family at CCD!

 

Bayou Academy’s Renovation Receives a Design Award

Bayou Academy’s renovation was recently awarded an Honor Citation by the Mississippi Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The Honor Citation is “awarded to projects worthy of recognition because of design quality.” Jurors commented that “small gestures have made an enormous impact, transforming a tired industrial building into a composition of well-crafted materials that give elegance to the building entry.” CCD is happy to have been a part of this transformation and we look forward to working with Bayou Academy to realize future phases of the school’s master plan.

Canizaro Cawthon Davis adds new Associate, Kirk Oldenburg

CANIZARO CAWTHON DAVIS is excited to announce the promotion of Kirk Oldenburg, AIA to the position of Associate. Kirk has been with CCD for a little over a year and quickly established himself as a leader and asset to the firm. Kirk has successfully managed a variety of religious, corporate and healthcare projects, and enjoys working closely with clients and coworkers. A Florida native, he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master’s of Architecture from Louisiana State University. He and his wife, Kellis, and son Ryder, live in Clinton, MS. He enjoys spending time with his family and in his free time, fishing, camping, traveling, and riding in a New Orleans Mardi Gras krewe.
