Cotton Mills mixed use condominium development is at the front door of Mississippi State University in Starkville. Designed to be reminiscent of classic 19th century urban architecture with a modern retro twist, the exterior is clad in classic red and orange brick with accents and a ground floor base of white cast stone. Colorful awnings and a neon and metal Cotton Mills logo sign complete full look. The site was Master Planned for three building phases. A central gathering court and parking was included in Phase 1. The 78,000 square foot, six story Phase I building was designed in two scenarios. First, was a ground floor retail option with five floors above of 65 residential condominium units. Second, was a full six story condominium development of 77 units. In both scenarios, each unit has a balcony with either a view into the central gathering court or towards the MSU campus and the football stadium. The one, two, and three bedroom units were designed with maximum efficiency and included full baths, laundry rooms, full kitchens, and living areas.
