CANIZARO CAWTHON DAVIS was chosen to design this facility for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. The facility houses the leading engineering information technology organization in the Department of Defense. The ITL office building and the super computer buildings are state-of-the-art facilities for the employees and equipment needed to meet engineering and high performance computer science goals. Built on the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers ERDC Vicksburg campus, the facility is designed to attract the best and brightest engineers from around the world with spacious offices, multiple break out collaboration spaces, a large video conference center, and the use of some of the highest performing computers in the world. The 75,000 square feet facility includes an office building for 95 scientists, 2 super computer buildings, and conference center.
The building meets the Corp Of Engineer’s Sustainable Design and Development criteria. The criteria are based on LEED Silver qualifications.
